Justice Mughal appointed Supreme Court Justice
Justice Mughal was first appointed as a High Court judge in 2002
MUZAFFARABAD:
AJK High Court Chief Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal on Wednesday was appointed as a justice of the Supreme Court, while senior judge of High Court Justice M Aftab Tabbasum Alvi was made the Chief Justice of AJK High Court.
Justice Mughal was first appointed as a High Court judge in 2002. In 2010 he was promoted as Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court till March 29, 2017. Justice Mughal also served as Election Commissioner of the region during the 2016 general elections.
As a lawyer Justice Mughal was one of the prominent lawyers of the capital city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and was elected four times President Centre Bar Association. Justice Mughal also worked as President Supreme Court Bar Association.
