Rescue 1122 starts tree plantation drive

The Rescue 1122 launched its ‘Go Green Tree Plantation Campaign’ on Tuesday at the Emergency Services Academy in which volunteers of Rescue Mohafiz Corps will take part.
Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer inaugurated the drive by planting a sapling. Over 3,000 trees would be planted in and around the Emergency Services Academy and Rescue 1122 headquarters.
The campaign is a part of the Prime Minister’s Green Pakistan Programme, which aims at planting around 100 million trees across the country, including 14 million trees in Punjab alone.
He asked all the officers, staff, cadets and rescue mohafiz volunteers to participate in this campaign in their respective localities.
Dr Rizwan directed all the district emergency officers of the province to make all areas clean and green by planting trees inside and outside their operational offices.
