Dawdling development: CM warns authorities to speed things up
Shehbaz urges officials to work with greater coordination
LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been angered by the delays in completing development projects.
In a meeting on Tuesday to review the progress on horticulture, construction of bus terminals, greenbelts and other projects, he reprimanded officials for the delay in providing facilities to the people.
The CM said there was no justification for the delay and warned he would not tolerate such indifference in future.
He stated that the relevant departments should be aware of their responsibilities and produce results. Shehbaz believed that kinks could only be ironed out with the resolve of officials who discharge their duties with diligence. He advised the departments to work with coordination.
He said the Punjab government had promoted horticulture in development projects and included the necessary visual elements. He said the cities must be made to look beautiful with greenbelts, flowers, and plants.
He said the relevant departments are responsible to implement decisions and expedite the promotion of horticulture.
