MULTAN: A ten-year-old girl died after a quack administered wrong injection at a medical facility in Tibbi Balochan, Multan District, on Sunday.

A police official told The Express Tribune a man Nasir Baloch brought her 10-year-old daughter Attia to a self-claimed health practitioner Waqas for the treatment. “After examining the girl, the quack administered an injection to her that proved fatal,” he added.

Victim’s father Nasir Baloch, said his daughter was suffering from ear pain and he took her to the nearby clinic. “My girl died within 10 minutes after the accused administered the injection,” he maintained. However, after the incident, Waqas fled from the clinic, he said.

Meanwhile, the police said investigation into the matter was underway and teams had been dispatched to arrest the accused. Earlier in 2016, a pregnant woman died when a doctor injected a wrong injection to her in Multan.
