Polio campaign kicks off today
Over 5.9 million children below the age of five years would be vaccinated

In response to the polio case reported in Lodhran and positive environmental samples in Multan, Punjab authorities in will hold a polio campaign in 11 districts starting from Monday (today).
This was stated by Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir.
The districts where the drive will be launched include Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Khanewal, Lodhran, Toba Tek Singh, Vehari, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan and 37 union councils of Sahiwal.
Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Ali Jan Khan said that over 5.9 million children below the age of five years would be vaccinated.
The primary and secondary healthcare department has made elaborate arrangements to vaccinate children in these districts and constituted mobile teams that will visit each house to ensure all children are administered polio drops.
