Three people injured in hand grenade attack

GUJRANWALA: A bomb attack on a railway police check post in Gujranwala injured three people including a terrorist on Monday.

Eyewitnesses said an unidentified terrorist hurled a hand grenade inside the railway police check post near the Old Railway Station.

Three people, including the in-charge police check point, a shopkeeper and the terrorist himself were injured in the blast.

The blast damaged the check post and the nearby buildings slightly.

Eyewitnesses said that the man who hurled the bomb inside the police check post managed to flee from the scene in injured condition.

Police started a search operation in the area and detained some suspects for interrogation.
