SNGPL adds 29,000 new connections
SNGPL had set a target of 45,000 new gas connections in Multan region and there has been a positive progress

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) General Manager (Multan region) Amjad Mumtaz said on Thursday that 29,000 new domestic connections were given to consumers, constituting a large part of the target set for the current fiscal year. While talking to APP, Mumtaz said the SNGPL had set a target of 45,000 new gas connections in Multan region and there has been a positive progress on the matter with 64.4% of the target already achieved in the first eight months. He added that the gas supply would remain suspended from 10pm to 6am everyday as per management’s plan to ensure that it remains available to consumers with good pressure during cooking hours. The SNGPL official also said that his department was currently working on the issue of shortage of gas meters.
