SRINAGAR:
A seven-year-old girl was killed and a boy was injured in fresh spate of violence by the Indian forces in the Kupwara district of occupied Kashmir on Wednesday.
The troops killed the youth during a crackdown operation in Jagtyial area of the district. Earlier, an Indian policeman was injured in an attack in the same area. The operation was going on till report last came in.

Meanwhile, Indian police arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front district President for Kulgam, Abdus Sattar, during a house search.
Condemning the killings, Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said the Indian forces were committing genocide of the Kashmiri people.
In his Twitter message, he condemned Indian atrocities and brutalities in Occupied Kashmir and expressed sympathies with the parents of children, who became victims of Indian brutalities. Zakaria said the people of Pakistan express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.
