Banned Sport: Kite fliers warned of legal action
Police urge parents to ensure that their children do not indulge in the activity
ISLAMABAD:
Police on Monday warned the public against violating an ongoing ban on kite flying in the capital, noting that strict legal action would be taken against violators. SSP-Operations Sajid Kiani said that kite flying had been banned under Section 144 of the CrPC and those violating the law would face strict legal action. Chairing a meeting of all zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs, Kiani urged parents to ensure that their children do not indulge in the activity. Kiani directed the SHOs to overcome crime in their respective areas and arrest anti-social elements. He said that performance of all SHOs over investigations into cases of robberies street crime and others would be reviewed. He further directed officials to speed up efforts to arrest proclaimed offenders and absconders.
