Bollywood actor Vidya Balan recently revealed an unpleasant incident she faced at Kolkata Airport when she was manhandled by a fan.

Vidya was out promoting her upcoming movie Behum Jaan and was with producer Mahesh Bhatt and director Srijit Mukherjee.

The trio were walking in to the airport when the man approached her and asked if he could click a selfie with her.

Vidya, who always greets her fans with a smile, agreed. That was when the guy put an arm around her.

The Dirty Picture star was in an obvious shock at this, and asked the man to stop. He still held on to her, and refused to remove his arm despite the actor's firm stance.

It was after Vidya's manager intervened, the man removed his hand. As Vidya faced the camera for the third time, he again reached out his hand and caressed her back, and that is when Vidya became furious.

She turned around and screamed, “What do you think you are doing? This is wrong.” The man still had the nerve to ask: ‘Can I have a selfie?" Vidya told him off in a loud voice, ‘No you can’t, behave yourself!”

After that Vidya walked away from the scene.

Vidya talked about the incident and the anger was evident in her voice, “When a stranger puts an arm around you, be it a man or a woman you get uncomfortable because they are intruding into your personal space.” she said.

“We are public figures, not public property,” Vidya added.
