Spring delayed: Passing winter dumps three feet of snow
Galiyat valley received over a foot of snowfall
ABBOTTABAD:
The weather turned cold after rain and snowfall continued for a fourth consecutive day in Abbottabad Friday.
Rain with intermittent snowfall had started lashing different parts of Hazara division on Tuesday, plunging the mercury considerably, forcing the people to retrieve the woollies which they had stowed away last week.
Police and locals said that the Galiyat valley had received over a foot of snowfall while the hilly areas received over two feet of snow due to which several link roads were blocked.
However, the main Abbottabad-Murree Road was opened with snowploughs and machines busy in clearing the road till Friday evening.
The Kaghan valley got three feet of snow, while its hilly areas received between three to four feet of snow. The Shahra- e-Kaghan had been blocked from Kaghan to Naran for over two and half months.
