FAISALABAD: A three-day agriculture exhibition meant for promoting latest agriculture practices kicked off at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Friday.

The expo was inaugurated by Nigerian acting high commissioner Aminu Abdulkadir and UAF Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar A Khan.

The exhibition remained the centre of attraction for agriculture enthusiasts who thronged the stalls in droves to have the taste of rural culture and to know about modern trends in the sector.

The UAF vice-chancellor said the exhibition was aimed at promoting modern agriculture trends that would not only boost productivity but also help alleviate poverty. “The country is blessed with tremendous resources and there is an immediate need to tap this potential,” he added.
