Gassed up: CNG Association on strike from Monday

CNG association to launch a series of nationwide protests against the weekly two-day closure of gas supply.

ISLAMABAD:
All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Association will launch a series of nationwide protests from Monday against the weekly two-day closure of gas supply to CNG stations. The association’s spokesperson said on Saturday that in the first phase, protests would be held on Monday in front of SNGPL Islamabad office.

“Despite assurances and commitments on the part of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to end gas loadshedding from March 15, the closure continues and commuters suffer,” the spokesperson said.

He added that at present over 3.5 million vehicles are using CNG as fuel.
