Judges misconduct: SJC seeks written reply from AGP
IHC Chief Justice Justice Anwar Kasi also recused to be part of the council
ISLAMABAD:
The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has sought a written reply from the attorney general for Pakistan in matters related to complaints of misconduct against two judges of the superior courts.
Sources told The Express Tribune that Supreme Court judge Amir Hani Muslim has recused himself from sitting as member of the council which has been pursuing complaints of misconduct against several judges.
They said when the council took up the complaints against two judges of the IHC and LHC on Tuesday, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan was included as new member of the SJC.
Justice Hani is going to retire on March 31.
Moreover, when the council took up the complaint against the IHC judge, IHC Chief Justice Justice Anwar Kasi also recused to be part of the council. Sindh High Court judge Justice Sajjad Ali Shah was included as member of the council.
