Bulletproof Car Case: IHC dismisses Intra-Court Appeal
According to judges, ICA is not maintainable against the interim order
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court on Monday dismissed an Intra-Court Appeal (ICA) where the petitioners had challenged an order of single bench directing to produce the bulletproof car being used by the ex-chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry before the court. Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi and Justice Aamer Farooq dismissed the petition observing that the ICA was not maintainable against the interim order. Petitioners, Sheikh Ahsanuddin and Taufiq Asif, through their counsel Mohiuddin Aamir Mughal, had filed an ICA challenging Justice Siddiqui’s decision of December 2. Justice Siddiqui had ordered the petitioners to produce the vehicle as case property before the court by December 8. They said that the action would compromise security of the ex-CJ.
