Robbing jewellery store: 3 sent to Haripur jail on remand
The jewellery was worth Rs1.2 million
HARIPUR:
Three men, who allegedly robbed jewellery worth a million rupees from a Khanpur story, were sent to the Haripur jail on judicial remand on Wednesday.
According to the Nisar Ahmed, the owner of the store in Khanpur Bazaar, two unidentified men pretending to be customers had entered his shop just as he was preparing to display jewellery sets weighing 300 grammes. The jewellery was worth Rs1.2 million.
However, within a few seconds, the men grabbed the jewellery-filled envelope and fled. However, the police managed to arrest two of them from the Jandial Barrier. They subsequently gave up their third accomplice who was arrested by the police later. Police also recovered the stolen jewellery from them.
