Census in Lahore begins on 15th

National census in the provincial capital will be held from March 15 till April 15, says Lahore Deputy Commissioner

LAHORE: National census in the provincial capital will be held from March 15 till April 15, said Lahore Deputy Commissioner Sameer Ahmed Syed on Tuesday. Chairing a meeting to review arrangements for the population count, the officer said the material for census would be distributed among enumerators on March 11. The district has been distributed in 184 charges, 867 circles and 6,746 blocks for census while 4,897 enumerators would participate in the headcount, Sameer said. The regional transport authority secretary will be responsible for transportation arrangements of enumerators from their camps to field.
