NAB Balochistan graded high in efficiency index

In 2016, NAB Balochistan received 1,128 complaints; all were processed according to the law

QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan division has been graded outstanding (80.60 per cent) in the Operational Efficiency Index.

The grading was awarded during NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry’s visit to NAB Balochistan Regional Bureau to review its performance on the basis of an annual inspection conducted by the chairman’s Inspection and Monitoring Team on Wednesday.

Balochistan corruption: NAB files references against key suspects

The annual inspection was carried out from February 27, 2017 to March 1, 2017 in order to evaluate the performance of NAB Balochistan Bureau on the basis of newly introduced Partly Quantified Grading System (PQGS).

The monitoring team gave a presentation about the performance of NAB Balochistan during 2016.

Mega corruption case: Bail application dismissed

In 2016, NAB Balochistan received 1,128 complaints; all were processed according to the law. Out of 223 complaints verifications, 189 complaint verifications were completed.

Out of 165 inquiries, 107 were completed whereas out of 37 investigations, 20 investigations were completed on merit. Twenty people were arrested on charges of corruption and 14 corruption references were filed, while  Rs1.615 billion were recovered.
