The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has annulled the orders of its human resource department deploying around 37 officials on acting, look after and current charge. The authority has directed its formations to discard the said practice with instruction to withdraw any such order issued previously. Placing people on acting charge, in fact, denies them the right to actual promotion. In some cases, admin officers and inspectors were working as acting assistant directors, senior assistant as admin officer and even store in-charge was working as acting inspector. Similarly there were drivers working as acting supervisors and security guards working as acting clerks of LDC. Consequent upon the orders of CDA Member Administration Yasir Peerzada, the Directorate of Municipal Administration cancelled look after and current charge ordered by itself.
