G-B lawmaker Muhammad Ali Sheikh passes away

The 50-year-old suffered a heart attack

GILGIT:
Muhammad Ali Sheikh, a lawmaker in the Gilgit-Baltistan legislative assembly, passed away Sunday morning.

Family members said Sheikh was taken to a hospital after he suffered a heart attack, where he breathed his last.


The 50-year-old belonged to Nagar district of G-B, and was a senior member of Islami Tehreek Pakistan.

His funeral prayers, offered in the main Imamia mosque, were attended by governor Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan and speaker legislative assembly Fida Nashad, among other civil and military officials.
