Degree courses: At UMT, new programmes in food, agriculture
Undergraduate and master’s degrees on offer

The University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore has announced new and innovative degree programmes in agriculture and food technology.
Punjab University: ‘Administrative changes in best interest’
According a statement issued on Saturday, the degree programmes are being offered for both undergraduate and masters degree including a four-year Bachelor of Science (BS) in dairy and food technology. The UMT management claimed the new programmes were being introduced after conducting industry analysis and keeping the current food demands in view.
Expressing his views, School of Food and Agricultural Sciences, UMT Director Nauman Khalid said UMT was the first institution in the private sector which has launched innovative degree programmes in agriculture and food technology. He said no other institution in private sector was offering degree programmes in pure food and dairy technology and UMT’s programmes were aimed at bridging the gap between the local industry and academia.
Convocation: 370 students graduate from Isra University
Quality Academics Director Ibrahim Hasan Murad said like all other degree programmes offered at UMT, the newly launched programmes in food and agriculture would also be integrated with excellent quality and pioneering research.
