MUZAFFARABAD: The Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) will complete a number of water supply schemes worth Rs152.88 million for providing potable water in the areas affected by Neelum-Jhelum Power project (NJP).

AJK Minister for Electricity Raja Nisar Ahmad said this on Friday, in response to a question raised by MLA Raja Abdul Qayoom during the session of the AJK Legislative Assembly.

He said these schemes funded by Wapda would be implemented through departments concerned with the help of planning and development department after which there would be no scarcity of drinking water in these areas.

The planned water supply schemes would be implemented particularly in Majhoi and Khawar areas.
