LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has asked the Punjab Home Department to deploy paramilitary soldiers during the annual elections of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) scheduled for February 25.

The LHC authorities held detailed deliberations with the bar association leaders and decided to demand the government to deploy Rangers on the premises on election day to ensure a foolproof security in the wake of a string of bombings across the country. A letter has been written to the home secretary to ensure the deployment of Rangers.
