Solar Plant Permission: Catalyst Energy submits application
The project would cost $157 million and is expected to begin commercial operation by October 2017

Catalyst Energy (Private) Limited (CEPL) has submitted an application to National Electric Power Regulator Authority (Nepra) for power generation licence for its 100 megawatt (MW) solar power plant. Sources told APP here that the company would set up the solar power at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Chishtian (Punjab) to generate 100MW electricity. Photovoltaic (PV) Cell Solar Power Plant would be used to generate electricity. The project would cost $157 million and is expected to begin commercial operation by October 2017. CEPL intends to supply power generated from the plant to the national grid system.
