Victim’s father taken into custody as brother flees after shooting

KARACHI: A young girl was shot dead inside her house in Banaras Colony, allegedly by her brother.
The police reached the house following the shooting. S* was apparently shot by her brother, Shaheen Khan, who managed to escape after shooting her, said SITE police station SHO Ghulam Hussain Korai.
According to SITE police, S* was shot inside her house and died immediately. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
The police have taken the deceased’s father, Saleem Khan, for questioning as they suspect that her brother killed her in the name of ‘honour’. The police will be able to confirm the suspect's motive once they have caught him. Khan was at large when this report was filed.
