University games: PU students shine in extracurricular competitions

LAHORE:
Students of the Punjab University grabbed prominent positions in inter-university competitions held at different universities campuses in Lahore.

According to a statement issued on Sunday, in Performing Arts Festival 2017, organised at University College Lahore, PU’s band which included Muslim Shagan, Muhammad, Zaroon and Mohsin got the first position in ‘Battle of Band’ competition while in eastern and western singing competition, Ali Jan and Sumbal Hafeez clinched second positions.


In Theatro ’17 drama, dance and music competitions organised at Forman Christian College Lahore, PU’s Ghufran Chishti and Ata Subhani got first positions in solo singing and dance competitions respectively while in drama, Sara Tariq, Asim Chaudhry and Zainul Abedin clinched awards for best actress, best comic actor and best supporting actor respectively.

PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir has congratulated the students for their outstanding performance and achievements in extracurricular activities.
