Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said policemen martyred in the suicide blast were the heroes of the nation and nothing could compensate for the irreparable loss of the bereaved families.

Shehbaz expressed these views during his visits to families of policemen killed in the blast. He visited the families in four tehsils of three districts including Sahiwal, Okara and Kasur. Praising the courage of policemen who lost their lives in the blast, the CM said the grieving families would not be left alone in their difficult time.

The CM visited the families of Head Constable Asmat Ali, Muhammad Nadeem and Constable Irfan Mahmood in Sahiwal, Renala Khurd and Depalpur respectively and condoled with them for their losses.


Expressing his grief and sorrow over the tragic incident, Shehbaz said the policemen martyred in the blast were the heroes of the nation and they died while performing their duty. He said the government would support the families in their difficult time.

Thanking the CM for his visit and words of solace, the families of the martyred policemen said they were ready to give every sacrifice to uproot terrorism.
