Fake stamps: Butcher arrested for selling unhygienic meat
Police claim to have seized hundreds of kilogrammes of unauthorised and unhygienic beef

HARIPUR:
Police on Tuesday claimed to have seized hundreds of kilogrammes of unauthorised and unhygienic beef and arrested a butcher from Serae Saleh area.
Sera e Saleh police said following complaints from the public, Serae Saleh SHO Ishaq Khan conducted a raid the shop of a local butcher, later identified as Amir. Officials added that they seized meat from two buffaloes. Police pointed out that the beef had been marked with fake stamps of a veterinarian even though the condition of the meat was quite unhygienic.
The police subsequently arrested the butcher disposed of the confiscated meat.
The suspect was produced before a judicial magistrate who sent him to Haripur jail on judicial remand of 14 days.
