Extra contingent of law enforcers reached the site following the incident and collected the evidence. “The DSNG was on its way to cover an attack on a police APC,” said North Nazimabad DSP Naeem Khan.
The police APC was attacked with a cracker about half an hour earlier near Five Star Chowrangi. No casualty was reported.

DSP Khan said it appeared both attacks were coordinated and the same assailants carried them out. Sindh police chief A D Khawaja took notice of the incident and sought a report.
PM Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack and expressed deep grief over the loss of precious human life.
