Sania Mirza set for whopping return

HYDERABAD:
Newly wed Sania Mirza will make her tennis come back with the $600,000 Aegon Classic tennis in Birmingham.

Mirza will return to competitive tennis at the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) event starting June 7 in Birmingham after more than three months gap during which she got married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik.

"For everyone asking my next tournament is in Birmingham, followed by Wimbledon next month," Sania wrote on her twitter page.

She last played competitive tennis in February when she lost first round of a Dubai event to Spaniard Medina Garrigues. She withdrew from Indian Wells event in March due to her recurring wrist injury and has not played since then.

The issue of whether or not Mirza would be allowed to continue her professional career, and particularly the thorny issue of the required dress code in relation to societal pressures also seems resolved.

Indian tennis star got married to Malik on April 12 and started practising a fews days back. Sania has had very ordinary year so far as in five tournaments she played this year, only once making the second round.
