SUKKUR:
Five bodies were fished out from the Indus River on Saturday after a boat carrying a saint’s devotees capsized overnight, some eight to ten kilometres away from the Dokri area in Larkana district.
The victims were identified as Daim Sial, Hamid Shah, Gulzar Channa and two brothers Sonu and Sajjad.
Crammed with 30 odd passengers, the boat sank not too long after setting sail. Rescuers managed to pull 20 passengers to safety late Friday night. Some others managed to swim to the river bank. Four passengers, however, are still missing.

Six bodies were recovered during the search operation.
The devotees had boarded the boat from the mausoleum of Muhabat Pir Patan, situated on the right bank of the River Indus. The devotees had come from Khairpur.
Divers pulled out one man alive last night but he did not survive. Rescue workers says the strong current of water was hampering rescue efforts.
