No casualties: Iranian forces fire mortar shells

The FC personnel immediately rushed to the site and took position to retaliate

QUETTA: Iranian border security forces fired at least five mortar shells in the Prom area of Panjgur on Thursday.

According to official sources, at least five mortar shells were fired from Iranian side. An official of the local administration said, “All the five mortar shells exploded near a Nullah, which created great panic among the people of Prom.”

Iran fires mortar shells into Pakistan 

The FC personnel immediately rushed to the site and took position to retaliate; however, the Iranian security forces stopped firing as soon as the FC took their position. No casualty was reported in the firing.

Local officials said that the Foreign office has been informed about the incident and has been asked to lodge a protest with the Iranian authorities on the border violation.
