Iran fires mortar shells into Pakistan 

Pakistan has taken up the issue with Iranian officials in Joint Pak-Iran Border Session

QUETTA: The Iranian Border Guards fired mortar shells in Balochistan; however, no loss of life was reported.

According to the Levies force, the Iranian border guards fired three mortar shells in the city of Panjgur on Wednesday. The levies officials said, “the mortar shells explosion created fear among the people living near the area.”

Pakistan shares a 900-kilometre border with Iran and the two countries in 2014 decided to boost intelligence coordination to wipe out terrorists from the border region. However, Iran has violated border treaty many times. Pakistan has taken up the issue with Iranian officials in Joint Pak-Iran Border Session.
