SC summons law minister

ISLAMABAD: A five member bench of the Supreme Court on Friday summoned Law Minister Babar Awan in connection with the non-implemenation of NRO verdict case.

The bench, headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk, adjourned the hearing of the case till May 25. The interior secretary and the NAB chairman also appeared in the court with their record as directed by the bench.

Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq submitted the written statement of Law Secretary Aqil Mirza. The court was told that the law secretary could not appear in the court as his resignation had been accepted, and the Establishment Division had also issued a notification in this regard.
