Out and about: CM inspects work on University Road, Tariq Road

Directs DMC to remove encroachments, garbage in Gulistan-e-Jauhar

KARACHI: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah visited different areas of the city, including University Road and Tariq Road, to inspect the ongoing development work on Tuesday.

Without informing the relevant officials of the Karachi package, Shah visited University Road all the way from Hassan Square to Karachi University. He inspected the quality and progress of work at Hassan Square.

The chief minister went up to Karachi University and then took a U-turn towards Gulistan-e-Jauhar to inspect the roads there. Noticing some encroachments on the road, he directed the DMC concerned to get them cleared and remove debris and garbage lying along the road.

Shah returned from Jauhar Chowrangi and visited the other side of University Road. He talked to Karachi package project director and instructed him to gear up the work. He also visited Tariq Road and inspected the progress of work.

The work on both sides of Tariq Road has been completed from Allahwali Chowrangi to Café Liberty signal.
