Encounter: Two ‘bandits’ killed in shoot-out
Car riders opened fire on the police when asked to stop

At least, two bandits were killed in an encounter with police near main Vegetable Market in Multan on Tuesday.
Seetal Mari SHO Mahr Ijaz said a police team spotted a suspicious car and signalled the riders to stop. The car riders, however, tried to escape and opened fire on the police.
The police retaliated and as a result, two bandits were killed while four of their accomplices managed to escape. The police said the deceased bandits were identified as Abdullah and Ali Sher. They were involved in several criminal cases while two vehicles and weapons were also recovered from their possession.
Meanwhile, the Counter Terrorism Department claimed to have arrested five outlaws and recovered arms and explosives from their possession in Matital area. Officials said a CTD team raided Matital Road and arrested accused Roohullah, Hakim Khan, Nasirullah, Zarsaz and an unidentified culprit.
