Census Drive: Balochistan vows full cooperation
Up to 15 districts will be covered in the first phase
QUETTA:
Authorities in Balochistan will offer their full cooperation during the upcoming census, the province’s chief secretary Saifullah Chattha said on Saturday. Chairing a meeting of the provincial coordination committee on census on Saturday, Chattha said that training centres would be provided foolproof security and an awareness campaign through advertisements will also be launched through the Public Relations Department. He directed all the commissioners and deputy commissioners to call regular meetings on the census. The committee was told that the decision of census was taken during the meeting of Council of Common Interests and that the census would take place in two phases in the province. Up to 15 districts will be covered in the first phase while 17 districts will be covered in the second phase. Provincial Commissioner Census told the media that the deployment of staff has been completed in all the districts and the training of master trainers has also been completed for the two phases.
