Haripur crash: Two killed as trucks collide

The driver of the dumper truck, though, managed to flee, police said

HARIPUR:
At least two people were killed and another was injured when a truck collided with a dumper near Haripur on Saturday.

A Mazda truck loaded with oranges from Khushab was heading to the vegetable market in Haripur. Near Darwesh village, it collided with a dumper truck speeding in the opposite direction.


The driver of the fruit truck, identified as Ahmed Khan, his friend Sadiq Hussain, were killed on the spot. The cleaner, Hussain Sultan, was critically injured in the accident.

The driver of the dumper truck, though, managed to flee, police said.  Police shifted the bodies and the injured to nearest hospital.
