FPCCI, Bahawalpur chamber: Meeting discusses women empowerment

Official assures of facilitation in organising expos in Faisalabad and Sialkot

LAHORE: Women are an integral part of our society and the Lahore regional office is there to support and encourage women empowerment, said Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Vice President and Regional Chairman Manzoorul Haq.

Addressing a meeting with a delegation of the Bahawalpur Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said that without economic empowerment women empowerment would not be possible.

Also speaking on the occasion, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) CEO S M Muneer said that TDAP always facilitates men and women on merit without any gender discrimination.

TDAP will facilitate Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry in organising expos in Faisalabad and Sialkot as per the norms of TDAP, he added.

SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik said that FPCCI always remained in touch with businesswomen to provide a platform to safeguard the interest of women entrepreneurs, adding, “We are here to assist the women at the national and international levels for the development of women entrepreneurs in Pakistan.”

There should not be any discrimination in gender in assigning jobs and authorities, he further added.
