Illegal Kidney Trade: Two suspected organ traffickers held 

Destitute had been brought to the garrison city on the pretext of being provided jobs from different parts of Punjab

RAWALPINDI: Two men suspected of being involved in the illegal kidney trade were arrested from Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench on Friday. Dr Mukhtar and Dr Tauseef were arrested after their bail expired. During Friday’s hearing, Justice Amin Ahmed cancelled the bail of the two suspects who were allegedly involved in organ trafficking. Rawat police subsequently arrested both suspects on the court’s order. According to police investigations, a number of destitute had been brought to the garrison city on the pretext of being provided jobs from different parts of Punjab such as Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Okara, Sahiwal, Kasur, Hafizabad, Khanewal, Gujranwala and Bahawalnagar.
