History: CDA to preserve Shah Allah Ditta Caves
The cave walls used to feature Buddhist carvings, but they had been worn out

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Administration Member Muhammad Yasir Peerzada has directed the concerned formations CDA to install detailed information signs near the Shah Allah Ditta caves and improve approach roads to provide easier access to visitors. “CDA will use all available resources to preserve Shah Allah Ditta as it is an important historical and archaeological site,” Peerzada said while visiting Shah Allah Ditta with Islamabad Deputy Mayor Zeeshan Ali Naqvi on Wednesday. He said that Shah Allah Ditta’s historical significance creates tourism potential, adding that the CDA will take the necessary steps to promote the area for tourism.
