ISLAMABAD: The government is mulling a new law to implement unified prayer timings in the capital. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Sardar Yusuf on Monday chaired a meeting to ensure implementation of unified timings for prayers.

Government had formulated a 10-member committee of religious scholars in March 2015 to devise a unified timetable and calendar for prayers in the capital. So far 614 mosques out of 957 have agreed to implement the calendar.
