Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is getting applauded for his powerful performance in Raees, says he gets into a "strange numb zone" whenever any of his films releases.

"I am very tired by the end of it. I have no feelings when the film releases. During film trials people say good and bad things. It is a strange numb zone," said Shah Rukh.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees features Shah Rukh as a bootlegger and liquor prohibition as the backdrop. It narrates his journey into the illegal business, and also throws light on emotional aspects of his life as well as his love interest.

I'm too old for a romantic film: Shah Rukh Khan

"After two-three days (of release), I spend time and think about it. I keep it to myself," the actor added

Raees, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan, saw a good and steady opening at the box office, and is giving tough competition to Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil. Asked if he liked to watch his own films, the superstar said that it has been a "really long time since I've watched my own movie".

Shah Rukh Khan deeply saddened by fan's death

"I haven't seen Chennai Express. Even for Jab Tak Hai Jaan, we had this big premiere but I left half way through because someone or the other calls, something or the other comes up, you go out to answer."

Concerned Citizen | 7 years ago | Reply Shahrukh Khan has no backbone as a person and frankly should not be given the time of day by The Tribune. He refused to stand up for Mahira Khan when she was refused to promote her own film in India with him. The Indian Government idiotically banned all Pakistani artists from India after the Uri attack which backpedaled peace between the two countries for years to come. Shahrukh could have been the hero in all this controversy and could have stood up for Pakistani artists as a good well ambassador for both nations. He could have become a conduit for peace between the two neighbors. Instead he cowered in fear and commented that he wanted nothing to do with her. To me that just demonstrates moral failing and weakness of character.
