Crackdown: 49 persons held for various crimes

RAWALPINDI:
The Rawalpindi police on Thursday arrested 49 persons for various crimes.

The Pirwadhai police nabbed Muhammad Anwar in possesion of 1,400 grammes of hashish, while the Naseerabad police arrested Imtiaz with five litres of wine.

Similarly, the Saddar Wah police arrested an accused Jawad Khursheed and recovered four bottles of liquor from him.

Meanwhile, Aqib Javed was arrested for having 22 bottles of liquor in his possession.


The Banni police nabbed Muhammad Farqan, Muhammad Amir and Muhammad Hassan who were found intoxicated under the influence of liquor.

The Civil Lines police arrested Khalid and Najam Hussain with two 30-bore pistols with a cache of ammunition.

Furthermore, the law enforcement agency arrested 40 persons for violating the Punjab Temporary Residence Ordinance.
