Sajjad in Asian snooker quarter-finals
KARACHI:
Pakistan national snooker champion Mohammad Sajjad is in the quarter-finals of the 26th Asian Snooker Championship being played in Thailand with a 4-3 victory over Hong Kong’s Lee Chun Wai.
He will face Laos’ Sitthidead Sackbiang in the quarter-finals and is the lone Pakistani left in the championship after Asjad Iqbal was knocked out in the second round.Iqbal went down to Sackbiang in a 4-1 defeat in the pre quarter-finals. In other quarter-finals Thanawat Tirapaipongboon will face Habib Subah, UAE’s Mohammed Shehab will take on Yasin Merchant of India and Passakorn Suwannawat will play against Issara Kachaiwong in an all-Thailand match.
