ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has stopped the salaries of officials who refuse to accept duty orders. The move is part of a comprehensive strategy to streamline the authority’s administrative affairs.

The salaries of 10 officials who failed to report for duty after being transferred to the Arts and Crafts Village have been stopped. The salaries of 92 officials who did not perform their assigned duties during a recent polio vaccination campaign have also been stopped.

The CDA Human Resource Directorate (HRD) issued the office order to stop salaries and has also directed senior managers in the authority to initiate disciplinary proceedings against officials who have failed to relinquish their charges despite having been transferred to Arts and Crafts Village.

Earlier this month, 15 officials were transferred to the village. The Arts and Crafts Village then reported to the HRD that 10 of the newly-transferred officials had not joined. The HRD then issued the notification for stoppage of salaries.

The ten officers were identified as Karar Hussain Haideri, Asim Jilani, Chaudhry Sheraz Ahmed, Zahid Hussain, Ziaul Haq, Raja Mansoor Ahmed Qaiser, Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Fayyaz, Muhammad Nawaz, and Tanveer Ahmed.

Earlier, the CDA had initiated action against officials that did not perform their assigned duties in a polio vaccination campaign which ran from January 16 to 19.
