Investment in mineral sector: World Bank expresses interest

K-P minister said that the provincial government appreciates investment interests

PESHAWAR:
A representative delegation of the World Bank led by Vincant Palmade on Wednesday called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Minerals Development Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli and discussed matters of mutual interest. The World Bank delegation informed the minister about their interest in investing in the mineral sector in light of Peshawar Torkham Economic Corridor Project and extended willingness for collaborating in this regard. Minerals Development Secretary Syed Zaheerul Islam, DG Minerals Development Syed Muhammad Shah and other relevant high ups were present on the occasion. Welcoming the World Bank’s cooperation, K-P minister said that the provincial government appreciates investment interests as it is also endeavouring to promote the mineral sector in the province.
