Yearly allocations: Punjab health budget up by 43%  

Efforts are under way to provide basic health facilities at the doorstep of citizens and all government hospitals

FAISALABAD: The Punjab government has allocated Rs43 billion for the health sector this year in the province that is 43% higher to the budgetary allocations made in the previous year. This was claimed by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan while addressing a White Coat ceremony arranged on Tuesday to welcome the students of the new MBBS session at Aziz Fatima Medical and Dental College (AFMDC). The minister said efforts were under way to provide basic health facilities at the doorstep of citizens and all government hospitals and basic health units were being upgraded.
