Census 2017: Workshop for master trainers begins 

The 6th national census will kick off on March 15 for which Lahore will be divided in seven census districts

LAHORE: A training workshop for master trainers, who will later train census collectors in their respective districts for National Census 2017, started on Tuesday.

Lahore Division Commissioner Abdullah Khan Sumbal inaugurated the training, where 52 master trainers from education and population welfare departments are taking part. After completion of the workshop, certificates will be awarded to the master trainers.

The 6th national census will kick off on March 15 for which Lahore will be divided in seven census districts, Kasur in four, Sheikhupura in five and Nankana Sahib in three census districts.

As per the official schedule, Lahore division will be divided in 13,626 blocks, 1,624 circles and 289 charges.

Addressing the master trainers, Sumbal said all participants should pay proper attention to training workshop and train census collectors in their respective districts so they could discharge their national duty of collecting census data.
