New incharge: KU bids farewell to Dr Qaiser  

Prof Khan paid tribute to the services of the outgoing VC and termed him a great asset for the varsity

Outgoing vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser was given a farewell as the newly appointed VC, Prof Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan, took the charge of Karachi University (KU) Tuesday morning.

The farewell ceremony was organised by Prof Dr Khalid Iraqi, the dean of faculty of management and administrative sciences at KU, in the garden of the new administration block of the varsity.


Prof Khan paid tribute to the services of the outgoing VC and termed him a great asset for the varsity. He said that making KU one of the leading varsities of the world was his supreme priorities. He said that the use of latest technology is a pivotal factor for the development of any institution.

"When I assumed the charge, KU was facing great challenges but I left no stone unturned to resolve those issues," said Prof Qaiser. "I am quite hopeful that the upcoming VC will be able to run the varsity in the most efficient manner [as] he has got great expertise."
